Welcome to the 10th season of the Austin Women's Basketball League! 

"The goal of the Austin Women's Basketball League (AWBL) is to create an organized, competitive, all-women's league that encourages fitness, unites athletes and promotes camaraderie through basketball."

* NEW CHANGES: This season we hope to have three divisions! ALL divisions will play on Thursday nights from 7:30-10:30. ALL games will be played at Austin Sports Center (425 Woodward). 

If it has been more than 2 seasons since you played in our league, you will need to be re-rated. Please attend one of the three Open Play sessions.

AWBL Structure: Our league is set up as a free agency. Players register as individuals and are rated according to a questionnaire and by attending one or more of our Open Plays. From there, based on the individual's rating, each player is drafted onto a team by a coach. The purpose is to create a balanced league of teams, as well as effectively place each of the individual players who want to play on a team. There will be no pre-selected or pre-created teams.
